Pete is the head of International Development and Mergers & Acquisitions of Energy Development Corporation (EDC) since 2019. He is at the helm of EDC’s expansion into the international renewable energy space, driven by a mission to spread EDC’s geothermal leadership and pioneering expertise that was originally honed in the Philippines.

He leads EDC’s International Greenfield development and M&A business and has a particular focus on leading EDC into emerging and growing geothermal markets via investment and knowledge transfer through working with local stakeholders. He is a globally accomplished executive harnessing three decades of experience to effectively undertake significant business-driver roles for some of the world’s largest firms in their markets. He has particular expertise in Independent Power Producer (IPP) development, new markets, and the development of market-leading teams. A commercial strategist and catalyst for growth and change, he is able to point to a proven track-record in progressive value creation both as a front-line operating executive and as a board member.

Pete was born in Liverpool in the United Kingdom and has lived and worked in six countries across Europe, Indo Pacific, Asia, and Oceania, managing multimillion-dollar projects. He holds a PhD in Control Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
