Leonardo began working at Energy Development Corporation Chile (EDC Chile) in September 2014 as Health & Safety Officer. His mission was to implement the H&S strategy based on EDC’s Corporate Occupational Safety and Health Policy, together with the local regulations on risk prevention in geothermal operations developed at high altitude. Leonardo’s role has evolved since then, performing new duties within project management, such as managing contractors/consultants, managing and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance operations at all project facilities, along with preparing the annual budget process.

Leonardo is currently in charge of the Environmental Impact Assessment process (EIA), applicable sectoral permits and the grant processes of the GDF/KFW, a multilateral geothermal risk mitigation entity, with the support of environmental and social consultants.

Leonardo is a Civil Industrial Engineer and Engineer (E) in Risk Prevention, Mention in Industrial Safety, with almost 17 years of work experience in different types of industries such as mining, telecommunications and manufacturing, among others.
